Approximate time assumes the Standard rate band (100 tokens/min) — a faster band buys fewer minutes per token.
Rate bands
Three bands, fixed and visible before you book.
Every engineer sets their rate from one of three platform bands — no haggling, no surprise quotes. You see the rate on the profile before you ever pick a slot.

Before you buy tokens.
Do tokens expire?
No. Tokens sit in your wallet until you spend them — no monthly reset, no forced top-up. Buy a bundle once and draw it down across as many sessions as you like.
What if my call never connects?
You're not charged. Billing only starts once you and your engineer are both actually present in the room — a call that fails to connect costs nothing.
What happens if the call drops partway through?
The server clock only counts time when both parties are connected. If a technical fault cuts a session short, it's reviewed and any affected tokens are refunded to your wallet.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes — one minute, to keep zero-value sessions off the ledger. Every session above that is billed to the second, at the engineer's per-minute rate.
Can I top up mid-call if I'm about to run out?
Not yet — that's a feature we're building for. For now, watch the countdown: you'll get warnings at 5, 2 and 1 minute remaining, and again at 30 seconds, so you can top up between sessions.
Does my engineer's rate change after I've booked?
No. The rate is locked the moment you book, even if the engineer's list price changes before the call happens.
